Famed U.S. soccer goalie Tim Howard will be making moves off the field with his new book deal.

Howard has written a memoir called "The Goalkeeper," and it will be released right before the holidays on Dec. 9 by HarperCollins Publishers, according to NBC Sports.

Howard, 35, said he is "eager to share the highs and lows of his life and career, including his battles with Tourette's syndrome and he hopes to inspire others," reported The Associated Press.

Howard played for U.S.A.'s soccer team in the World Cup this summer as a goalie. He recently signed a deal to be an NBC Sports Group commentator, according to AP.

Howard announced last week through social media that he was taking a break from the U.S. Men's national team until Sept. 2015 so he could spend more time with his family.

According to HarperCollins, "The Goalkeeper" will be available in adult and young adult editions.
