It turns out that there are still honest people in the world.

The Vault Coffee Shop and Bakery, located in the small town of Valley City, North Dakota, runs without a single barista and uses an unmanned self-service counter. Customers are instructed to pay by dropping money into a cash slot or to put the appropriate amount in the credit card reader.

The coffee shop claims to be profiting for the first time since it opened last fall.

"Generally speaking the people of Valley City are more generous than dishonest. In the first seven months of being open, we averaged 15 percent more than our asking prices," the company wrote on its website.

The coffee shop is an ex-bank building with a commercial brewer, a Keurig brewing system, soft drinks and pastries on the former teller counter, Bring Me The News reports. There are also books for sale, weekly movies played, displays of local artists' work, pianos for playing and free Wi-Fi.

"Exact change is not necessary, round down and give yourself a break or round up and help us stay in business" is a written on a sign posted in the shop.
