Neil Young is off the market less than one month after filing for divorce from his wife of 36 years, Pegi Young.
The 68-year-old rock legend is dating actress Daryl Hannah, People Magazine reported. The two were spotted together on Tuesday in Westlake, California and were holding each other closely. The actress's arm was placed around his shoulder and his arm was around her waist. The rumored couple even shared a few kisses, according to People.
Sources told the publication that Young and Hannah have been dating "for months."
"They've taken no effort to even hide it," a source said. "He recorded a new album a few weeks ago, and she was on Skype the entire time, giving him feedback on every take. He even told people in the studio she was his 'girlfriend.'"
The couple collaborated on an environmentalist documentary for Greenpeace because Hannah is an activist. A second insider said that the couple have "appeared at many, many protest rallies together over the past year. The fans have known about this for months."
Young filed for divorce from Pegi on July 29 in their hometown of San Mateo, California. The duo have two grown children together - Ben, 36, and Amber Jean, 30. A divorce hearing is scheduled for December 12, according to Rolling Stone.
Earlier this week, Young's former bandmate, David Crosby, claimed that the actress was being partly responsible for Young's divorce.
"I happen to know that [Young] is hanging out with somebody that's a purely poisonous predator now," Crosby said in the interview he gave the Idaho Statesman. "And that's karma. He's gonna get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I'm just sad about it. I'm always sad when I see love tossed in the gutter. I've been with my wife 37 years, and I'm in love with her. I ain't goin' nowhere."
Hannah is the first woman Young has been linked to since his divorce.
