Everything is certainly awesome...if you are fan of the Dark Knight in LEGO form.

A "LEGO Batman" movie is being fast-tracked by Warner Bros., with an intended 2017 release, possibly even taking over the date originally planned for "The LEGO Movie 2's" release, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Will Arnett will once again voice the Caped Crusader when the "LEGO Movie" incarnation of Batman stars in this production. Arnett's gravely spoof of Christian Bale's "bat-growl" in the recent, live-action "Batman" film series was definitely one of the high points of the original "LEGO Movie" ... especially if you were an adult watching the film with your kid(s).

While the popular plastic toy incarnation of the DC Comics hero has already starred in several video games and home video releases, the self-absorbed, "brooding" version that appeared in the hit kids flick struck a chord with audiences.

Joining Arnett on the spinoff are Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who shepherded the original "LEGO Movie" to theaters. Chris McKay, the animation supervisor for "LEGO Movie," is set to direct "LEGO Batman."
