Martha Stewart Openly Throws Shade at Gwyneth Paltrow (PHOTO)

The Martha Stewart/Gwyneth Paltrow title fight is on...and a one-two punch is delivered by Martha, Mistress of "Good Things."

Since Paltrow decided to try her hand at the life-and-style biz a year ago, Stewart has been serving some sly barbs the actress' way, according to Huffington Post.

The November issue of Martha Stewart Living comes out today with an article titled "Conscious Coupling." The article, which actually discusses Thanksgiving food, makes reference to Paltrow's "conscious uncoupling" from her husband of 10 years, Chris Martin, in March. The split was announced in a newsletter for Paltrow's new company, Goop, according to Yahoo TV.

The public diss starts, "Every Thanksgiving table should be blessed with the presence of a long-married pair who bring out the best in each other, are completely enamored despite their differences, and leave every other guest thinking, I'll have what they're having. Our holiday pies honor such so there's a pleasant mix of textures and flavors in every bite. No matter how you slice partnerships, each spotlighting the perfect marriage of crust and filling these six irresistible desserts, there is a whole lot to love."

According to Huffington Post, the feud started in 2013, when Bloomberg TV asked Stewart about Paltrow's new project, Goop. Stewart dished it out diplomatically by saying, "I haven't eaten at Gwyneth's house, and I've never seen how she lives. But if she is authentic, all the better. I mean, I certainly hope she is. She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business."

Stewart threw in, "I think I started this whole category of lifestyle."

She may have started a tad passive-aggressive, but Stewart has certainly revved her engines since. According to Huffington Post, Stewart's full-blown diva act came out during an interview with Net-a-Porter's Porter magazine last month.

"[Paltrow] just needs to be quiet. She's a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart."

Paltrow has finally been baited into answering. According to Huffington Post, Real Simple editor Kristin van Ogtrop asked Paltrow to respond. The mother of children Apple and Moses answered sarcastically, "No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I'm shocked and devastated. I'll try to recover. If I'm really honest, I'm so psyched that she sees [Goop] as competition. I really am."

Paltrow may have acted in superhero movies like Iron Man and portrayed emotionally imbalanced characters like Sylvia in Sylvia Plath, but Martha Stewart has been in the clink.

Enough said.
