Dog Turns On Owner, Helps Police Arrest Him On Drug Charge

They say dogs are a man's best friend, but apparently that doesn't guarantee they'll always take your side when the cops are coming after you.

Edward Henderson, an Alabama man suspected of manufacturing meth, was fleeing police through tall grass when police issued him a search warrant with his dog, Bo, trailing behind him, reports The Associated Press.

Apparently not realizing that this wasn't a game, Bo stopped to wag his tail in the tall grass, allowing police to catch up to him, Prattville police spokeswoman Paula Barlow told AP.

An officer pointed to Bo's owner saying "go get him" - and that's exactly what the obedient pup did, Barlow explained.

Barlow is charged with failure to obey police, manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It's unclear if he has an attorney or who is watching over Bo.
