Ole Miss star receiver Laquon Treadwell will be out four months after a devastating leg injury suffered in a 35-21 loss to Auburn Saturday left him with a broken leg and dislocated ankle, ESPN reports.

Treadwell was closing in on a go-ahead touchdown with under two minutes remaining in the game when he was brought down from behind and fumbled. His left leg and ankle bent awkwardly as he was being brought down. Treadwell was visibly in pain immediately after being tackled.

The sophomore receiver had surgery later that day to repair a broken fibular and dislocated ankle.

Rebels coach Hugh Freeze said Monday that he hopes Treadwell will be able to return for spring practice.

Treadwell was the Rebels' leading receiver with 48 receptions for 632 yards and five touchdowns this season. Ole Miss (7-2, 4-2 SEC) will play Presbyterian on Saturday.
