B.J. Thomas - whose Oscar-winning performance on the No. 1 smash "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" catapulted him to fame - lends his distinctive voice to six new recordings of Christmas classics. "O Holy Night" is a limited edition EP.
"These are the first new Christmas tracks that I have recorded in many years," says Thomas. "They are tried and true classics that my family and I have always enjoyed during the Christmas season year after year. I hope my fans enjoy them as much as I have. This is my gift to them."
The songs on "O Holy Night" are: "The First Noel," "O Holy Night," "Silent Night," "What Child Is This?," "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" and "Go Tell It On The Mountain." The album was produced by Mark Prentice, a hit songwriter and prolific studio musician in pop, country and Americana. He recorded the EP with Thomas early August 2014 in Nashville.
Thomas os a five-time Grammy and two-time Dove Award winner who has sold more than 70 million records and is ranked in Billboard's Top 50 most played artists over the past 50 years.
In 2013, he released his highly acclaimed acoustic re-imagined recordings of his iconic hits, "The Living Room Sessions," featuring duets with Lyle Lovett, Vince Gill, Keb' Mo', Richard Marx, Steve Tyrell and more.
