How cool is this? Taylor Swift has released a free smartphone app to accompany the music video for her new single "Blank Space." The package includes behind-the-scenes footage and allows fans to explore the video as part of an adventure game.

The tablet and smartphone app, a collaboration between Swift and American Express, is currently available in the App Store and in the Google Play Store.

Billboard examined the app and explained how the fan experience works. Here are the highlights:

- You can explore the virtual mansion in Swift's "Blank Space" video.

- You can follow other characters not in the actual video.

- Aside from peering in on Swift and the other characters, fans will want to click on the 41 trinkets placed in the virtual mansion and delight in the details.

- You can watch behind-the-scenes footage of the "Blank Space" video shoot and link to Swift's 1989 tour schedule.

- It's a neat, free experience for "Blank Space" fans that isn't difficult to figure out how to use.

"This video experience is really fun because we have hidden items in the rooms for fans to find, look at and test their ability to find other items," Swift said in a press statement. "Joining up with American Express to bring this experience as a gift to the fans has been so amazing. This is all for them, and I hope that the they will have a lot of fun with it."
