For months now, country superstar Carrie Underwood has been telling fans about "Something in the Water" through her hit single. Now, as of Tues., Dec. 9, Underwood will have something on the street: her "Greatest Hits: Decade #1." The two-disc album celebrates her meteoric rise in country music since winning "American Idol" in 2005 and her ten years of chart-topping songs.

Underwood has had an active several months performing at such momentous events as the Global Citizen Festival, the Concert for Valor, and "A (RED) Thank You" concert for World AIDS Day, as well as the ACM Honors, the CMA Awards and more. Fans can now look forward to even more opportunities to see the singer-songwriter as she makes numerous television appearances next week, including performances on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Dec. 8 and the "Today Show" on Dec. 9 (also visiting Hoda and Kathie Lee in "Today"s fourth hour), and guesting on "The Talk" on Dec. 10 and "Rachael Ray" on Dec. 12, where she will also promote her new fitness lifestyle line CALIA by Carrie Underwood.

The singer will also be taking over CMT with music videos, shows and performances with "Carrie Underwood's Greatest Hits Takeover Weekend" this Saturday and Sunday. She'll join Cody Alan on CMT's weekly "Hot 20 Countdown" as a special guest host for their 100th episode. "Hot 20 Countdown" airs this Sat., Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. EST and also features an exclusive interview with Underwood and Katie Cook. CMT will re-air the 2012 VH1 "Behind the Music: Carrie Underwood" program on Sat., Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. EST and VH1 "Unplugged: Carrie Underwood" on Sun., Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. EST as well as "CMT Crossroads: Steven Tyler & Carrie Underwood" on Sun., Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. EST.

On Dec. 9 iHeartMedia will host an exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party for "Greatest Hits: Decade #1"at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City. Syndicated Country radio talent Bobby Bones will host the one-hour takeover that will feature an on-stage interview and a live performance by Underwood, including the record-breaking new single, "Something in the Water." The event will broadcast that night at 8 p.m. local time across more than 115 iHeartMedia Country radio stations nationwide; at iHeartRadio.com/CarrieUnderwood, iHeartMedia's industry leading digital music service and via a special video feed to Clear Channel's outdoor billboard in Times Square located at the corner of 47th and Broadway. It will also air the following day, Dec. 10, across the American Forces Network for military members and their families serving overseas this holiday season.

GAC's "Headline Country" will feature Underwood in a one-on-one interview with Storme Warren that will first air on Dec. 11 as well as upcoming appearances on GAC's "American Playlist" and "Top 20" shows.

The songstress will be the featured artist in Ram Country on Yahoo Music's Artist Spotlight series throughout the month of December. Features include: an in-depth interview, exclusive performances of her hits "Something in the Water" and "Blown Away;" a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the music video for "Something in the Water;" and "The Hot Country Minute" with Ram Country Report host Cornelia Rowe.

Underwood will round out the week by coming home to Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry for two Opry performances at the Ryman Auditorium on Sat., Dec. 13. In celebration, opry.com will host 10 Memorable Opry Moments from Underwood beginning Mon., Dec. 8. On Mon., Dec. 15, Carrie will perform at the inaugural "American Country Countdown Awards" live from Nashville's Music City Center, 8 p.m.-10:00 p.m. ET /PT on FOX. And wrapping up the month of December is the repeat airing of the "CMA Country Christmas" special, featuring a performance with Underwood and Michael W. Smith, on Dec. 20 on ABC.

The superstar is currently climbing the Top 10 with the first smash single from Greatest Hits: Decade #1, the Gold-certified "Something in the Water," which advances to No. 9 this week on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck country airplay charts.
