Chinzo Michida, older brother of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida, has signed with competing promotion Bellator MMA.

The move comes a year after Chinzo made his return to MMA following a three-year hiatus in which he held a 1-2 record from 2005 to 2010, according to MMA Fighting.

"I signed with them," Michida said, confirming the multi-fight deal with Bellator. "I underwent a shoulder surgery a month ago and I'm still recovering."

The 37 year old is expected to make his Bellator debut in April or May of 2015.

Chinzo is currently on a two-fight winning streak from his time fighting for Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA), Sherdog.com reported. The first victory was achieved over Brian Wood via flying knee at RFA 11 and the second was achieved over Dmitry Gerasimov via unanimous decision at RFA 15.
