Luke Donald finished +6 and tied for eighth at the 2013 US Open. His worst moment may have been on Sunday when one of his drives hit a woman in the head, L.A. Times reports.
The accident happened on Donald's drive on the third hole. His swing sent the ball soaring far to the left, and it struck a woman on the head. The woman, a volunteer at the event, had been following the group ahead of Donald's and never saw it coming. She fell to the ground and remained down for several minutes before eventually being helped up.
She received a signed glove from Donald for her trouble.
He shot a five-over 75 on Sunday and finished tied for eighth. Tiger Woods fared even worse, finishing T32 with a +13. Justin Rose finished first for his fifth career PGA Tour win.
