"Teen Mom" star Catelynn Lowell and her fiancé Tyler Baltierra kicked off 2015 by welcoming their baby girl. The longtime couple rang in the New Year with the birth of baby Nova Reign, MTV reported. The newborn weighed 6 lbs, 12 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.
"OMG guys, my daughter is BEAUTIFUL! Can't wait for you guys to see her! Born on 1/01/15 at 3:15 #StillCantBelieveIt #ShesPerfect," Baltierra wrote.
Shortly after making the baby announcement, he posted a photo of Lowell holding baby Nova.
"Momma Bear holding our little angel!" he captioned the photo. "Can't tell you the feeling of witnessing this. Look at my beautiful bride to be! That woman is beyond strong, caring, and selfless. Couldn't have asked for a better little family #Blessed #NewYearBaby #MyGirls #AreMyWorld."
Lowell and Baltierra revealed last spring that they were trying to have a baby, and announced in August that they were expecting. The high school sweethearts already have a daughter named Carly, who they gave up for adoption in 2009.
Their difficult decision was captured on camera for MTV's reality show "16 & Pregnant." Even though Lowell and Baltierra decided not to raise Carly, the two are still a big part of the little girl's life.
Just a few short days ago, Baltierra gifted his fiancée with a stunning new engagement ring.
"Babe got me a new engagement ring... I wasn't expecting this at all," Lowell wrote on Instagram beside a photo of the ring. "It even has a baby diamond on the bottom to represent our little girl... thank you so much @tylerbaltierramtv I love you!"
"She's the best thing that has ever happened to me," Baltierra wrote just before the holidays, referring to Lowell. "She's everything I want that I never knew I needed. She's the most selfless, kind hearted woman that I'm lucky enough to call mine."
