A couple has been arrested and charged with trespassing after they managed to get themselves locked in a closet at Daytona State College for two days, DC Beacon reported.

Though the couple just thought they were trapped, the door actually locked from the inside so they would have been able to leave freely any time they wanted.

An entire campus building was searched after police received a distress call from a man regarding his son. The man said his son had been locked in a closet at the school for days.

When they searched the building, they found Amber Campbell, 25 and John Arwood, 31, in the closet of the science building.

It's not clear how they ended up in the closet to begin with. There were no drugs found in the space they were sharing.

Campbell was also charged with violating her probation for a 2013 resisting arrest charge, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Atwood has been in jail in Florida five times since 2000 for crimes including possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, fleeing law enforcement and armed burglary.
