Jury selection for the James Holmes' trial is underway, but not without some odd incidents.

On Tuesday, a woman showed up at the Arapahoe County Courthouse with her jury summons and a grandchild in tow, according to CBS Denver. The woman claimed the child had not been vaccinated against measles and could not be dropped off at daycare. When asked to come back without the child, the woman dropped to her knees, started crying and began pulling out chunks of her hair.

At that point, the woman was released from the jury - one of 66 potential jurors that were let go. Two prospective jurors showed up drunk, another presented while high and one was hauled out by ambulance while "violently ill." According to an earlier report by CBS Denver, a record 9,000 jury summons were sent out - the most for a criminal case in Colorado.

James Holmes is charged with the movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colo. in July 2012. Holmes allegedly shot and killed 12 people and injured 70 others during a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises."
