On the heels of Blizzard Entertainment announcing plans to bring selfies to "World of Warcraft," the developer has now revealed another new feature for the venerable PC Massively Multiplayer Online game: a racing mini-game.

Now offered in the "World of Warcraft" Public Test Realm is a neat little racing diversion on the Darkmoon Faire Island. Astride a special racing mount, your task is to scramble through the course as quickly as possible while avoiding electrical wires that can zap you. There are also sprint boosts and bouncy gears to hit (much like a "Sonic the Hedgehog" title) that can speed you along the track.

As Kotaku notes, using various buffs (special in-game enhancements) and competing against other players could make for a "Mario Kart"-like level of shenanigans and outright fun here. For more, check out the video below, from YouTuber zetzek, as well even more information at Wowhead.

Quite frankly, I was never a real "WoW"/MMO enthusiast myself, but I am constantly amazed at the legs this game has (it celebrated its 10th anniversary back in November), and the amount of quality content that Blizzard is frequently churning out for this game.
