Jim Parsons of "The Big Bang Theory" posted a video pleading Dwight Howard to sign with the actor's beloved Houston Rockets. Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on TV, even name-dropped Hakeem Olajuwon in his 95-second pitch.

USA Today Sports reported the story, citing a tweet from Rockets general manager Daryl Morey.

Parsons, a longtime Rockets fan, cited Olajuwon and how the Rockets focused its game around him. He added that Howard could become the most important piece on the team and assured him that Houston understands the importance of having an elite center.

"I promise you that no organization and no fan base understands and respects the role that an all-time great center, like yourself, plays in the success of a team the way Houston does," Parsons said in the video.

He concluded his plea by suggesting Howard would win a few rings with the Houston franchise.

The answer to Parsons' pitch could come as soon as Friday, when Howard is expected to announce his decision.

The Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and Rockets are believed to be the latest frontrunners for Howard.
