An Indian guard was killed after the millionaire he was opening a security gate for slammed into him with his SUV because he was taking too long, police said Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Jan. 29 when the victim, identified as Chandrabose, was opening the gate to an apartment in the southern Indian state of Kerala for 39-year-old tobacco business owner Muhammed Nisham, IOL News reported.

Nisham apparently lost his patience at Chandrabose's slow pace and rammed his Hummer into the guard, pinning him against the wall, police said. The driver hopped out of his vehicle and proceeded to beat Chandrabose with an iron rod until witnesses intervened.

The guard was treated at a local hospital but succumbed to his wounds on Monday, Thrissur police chief R Nishantini, told IOL News. Nisham now faces a murder charge.

"Nisham has already been arrested and is in jail pending the trial," the police chief said.

This isn't the first time the millionaire has been in trouble with the law. He stirred controversy in 2013 when an online video surfaced of him letting his nine-year-old son drive his Ferrari. Another time he allegedly locked a female constable inside his Rolls Royce for asking him to stop for a routine check, according to IOL News.

"It is a shocking incident which shows Nisham's arrogant behaviour and psychological problems," Nishantini said.
