Warning: The following contains possible spoilers of HBO's "Game of Thrones" and George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire."

We are less than two weeks away from the season five premiere of HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones." I will allow you a brief minute to now do the happy dance.

...

Back? Good.

Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have both confirmed that "Thrones" will begin to deviate more and more from the source material. This made fans wonder whether or not the characters of Griff and Young Griff would be included in this season at all. As book readers know, Griff is actually Lord Jon Connington and Young Griff is thought to be Aegon, Rhaegar Targaryen's son who was thought to have been murdered as an infant during Robert's Rebellion.

Game of Thrones Wiki recently linked to two actors (Alan McKee and Matt McArdle) who joined season five in unspecified roles. Given the mystery surrounding their casting and the age difference between the actors, it is possible that these two will be portraying Jon Connington and Aegon in season five. Connington and Aegon's story arc directly intersects with Tyrion's in the books. Pairing them all together in the show would undoubtedly make for superb television.

Connington was once Rhaegar's most trusted friend and adviser and was even Hand of the King to Aerys II at one point. However, after he failed to kill Robert Baratheon he was exiled by the mad king. It is rumored that Varys switched Aegon at birth with another baby, sending Rhaegar's true son away to be raised by Connington in secret until the day that a Targaryen could reclaim the throne.
