Most employees at Apple tend to be Apple fanboys who love what the company does. So, it makes sense that they get benefits, but what kind?

Apple CEO Tim Cook mailed out a memo on Monday that revealed details about what Apple-Watch related benefits Apple employees would receive, as well as a variety of details about the state of the Apple Watch, reports 9to5Mac.

Cook started off the memo by praising all Apple employees who were involved in the development of the Apple Watch: "Congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard for years to help this product reach our customers."

Cook also revealed that Apple employees from 400 of its stores will go through Apple Watch try-ons on April 17, a week before the official April 24 release of the Apple Watch.

But the most important kernel of information is what the employees will pay for their gadgets. All Apple employees will receive a 50 percent discount on the Apple Watch or Apple Watch Sport, or a $550 discount on the Apple Watch Edition. Cook said that the company is offering this deal so that "{employees} can share in the experience right alongside the customers."

"By comparison, the iPad was not immediately offered at discount for employees, while the original iPhone was provided for free to a large percentage of the company. The special pricing for employees lasts for 90 days, starting on Friday, which is when general Apple Watch pre-orders begin," notes 9to5Mac.

Cook also revealed that "more than one thousand apps were submitted in just four days last week when the App Store started accepting them, and the rate of submissions has only been climbing since then."
