Season five of "The Walking Dead" is barely in the great Safe Zone in the sky and already fans are eagerly anticipating season six. But after a relatively blood free season finale, viewers may want to brace themselves for a more gut-wrenching year next time around.

Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd hinted that Alexandria could come under more walker fire next season and that means more deaths.

"If Morgan hadn't shown up, I'm not sure how Daryl and Aaron would have survived," Hurd said. "They are the overwhelming majority now. The world is overrun. That's why I think seeing for the first time a walker within the gate of Alexandria may very well be a portent of things to come."

One thing that may come is a popular villain from the comics, Negan and his group of vicious survivors. The television series has taken a creative license with several characters and story lines from the comics. But Negan is pretty essential to the overall plot. However, if the show does include him, that could mean the end for one of Rick's group.

Warning: Possible spoilers ahead.

"Negan and The Saviors, his band of survivors that are as ruthless as Negan himself, will be a huge plot for the show," according to Celeb Dirty Laundry. "It will make the Governor and his cronies look like Care Bears. Armed with a bat wrapped in barbed wire he lovingly calls "Lucille," Negans kills Glen, leaving Maggie a widow. The arc in the novel is actually longer and farther ahead in the pacing of the TV show versus the book. Will Negan show up in season 6 of The Walking Dead? It sounds like it's a strong possibility."

Fans shouldn't begin to riot just yet. Based on season five, it seems pretty clear that the next source of opposition will come from The Wolves. Negan may be far off in the future or not in the show's plans at all. Glenn is safe...for now.

Season six of "The Walking Dead" will kick off in October.
