The final four "American Idol" contestants have just one more performance night ahead of them before the finale next week and each performer is keeping his and her eyes on the prize.
Aside from the coveted "Idol" win, mentor Scott Borchetta also sweetened the pot for the champion of this year's competition.
During last week's visit to Nashville and Big Machine Records, the label head introduced the contestants to the "Wall of Fame" that features big names such as Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts. He then revealed a blank space on the wall that will soon be inhabited by this season's winner.
Needless to say, that spot has now become every performer's main focus.
"I saw that empty space and was like 'Who's to the left and who's to the right of me?'" Rayvon Owen told Headlines & Global News. "I think I'd fit really nicely on that wall."
Seeing the empty space "was scary" for Jax, but that has not deterred her going forward.
"That wall is full of legends and everything about that label is legendary to me," Jax told HNGN. "I want to be on that wall so badly. It really is the biggest prize here."
Nick Fradiani revealed a different strategy for getting his face on that wall. "I should've put a selfie up there," he joked. "Just to keep it warm. It was cool to see."
The blank space added more incentive for Scott Beckham to win the hearts of America and have fans crown him the 14th "American Idol" winner.
"Scott [Borchetta] has been so hands-on and supportive this season that we all fell in love with him," Beckham told HNGN. "He's probably one of the greatest people I've ever met in my entire life and I trust him implicitly."
Whether they win or not, all the remaining finalists as well as last week's eliminated contestant, Tyanna Jones, will hit the road soon for the "American Idol Live" tour. The Top 5 will kick off their tour on July 7 at the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Fla.
Just like any other weary traveler, each performer has chosen as special item that will be making the trip with them to add a little extra comfort for the surreal experience.
For Owen, it's a crystal that the "Idol" stylist gave him along with his hats. "I'll need a hat roadie," he joked. "There's going to be a whole box of them."
Jax revealed she's bring a childhood keepsake with her on tour. "I have a stuffed blue monkey that I've had since I was born named Radar. I can't sleep without it and he's here with me now."
Jones will cling to the necklace Carrie Underwood gave her and a special ring that represents much more than her fashion sense.
"I used to wear my grandmother's ring for luck in every performance, but I lost it in Detroit," Jones said. "I replaced it and now realize it's not the ring - it's her. She's been with me the entire time."
Like Owen, it's all about headwear for Fradiani. "I'm taking my beanies because I hate doing my hair, it's a whole process to get it like it is on the show," he said. "Maybe I can get a part-time roadie and split it with Rayvon."
Beckham will keep things simple with some homemade sweet tea. "I haven't had it in four or five months. I've tried substitutes to simulate the sweet tea from home, but it's not the same," he said.
The Top 4 will be narrowed down to the Final 3 on tonight's "American Idol" which starts at 8 p.m. on Fox.
