Country singer Randy Rogers is morning the loss of his second child, Rumer Rain, who was only six-days-old.
Rogers and his wife, Chelsea, welcomed their tiny bundle of joy just last week and shared a heartwarming Twitter picture of the newest addition to their family.
Unfortunately, during Rumer's short life on Earth, she lost the fight with a "very rare brain condition," Rogers told radio station 93Q in Houston.
"Good morning. Rumer passed away last night. She died after a week long battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick. I'm sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us. We can share the story with you. It's quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you."
The Randy Rogers Band is cancelling their show tonight out of respect for Rogers' family.
On the band's Facebook page, the family asked "that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children's charity of their choosing."
Rumer was the Rogers' second child. The family welcomed their first child, River, in 2013.
