Last Sunday's episode of "Game of Thrones" ended in an exhilarating surprise with Daenerys mounting her dragon Drogon and flying off. But as we approach the season five finale this weekend, the big question is where exactly did she go? Leaving Jorah, Tyrion, Missandei and Daario behind must have an important destination, but it wouldn't be completely shocking if that triumphant scene was the last we saw of Dany this season.
But that is not the case, as HBO recently released a brief description of the finale that raises more questions than answers.
"Stannis marches. Dany is surrounded by strangers. Cersei seeks forgiveness. Jon is challenged."
Who are these strangers and where does Dany encounter them? Are they members of the Sons of the Harpie? For a show like "Game of Thrones," assuming the worst is just standard operating procedure. It's very possible that Dany and Drogon touched down into hostile territory.
What will this mean for Dany's fate and season six of "Game of Thrones?" We'll have to watch to find out.
