Evernote Announces Global Partnership With Telefónica, Offers Vivo Customers Free One Year Access

Evernote has announced a global partnership with Telefónica that will start off by giving one year free subscription of Evernote Premium to all Vivo customers in Brazil.

Evernote, a popular note-taking app, announced Tuesday a global partnership with Telefónica, world's fifth largest telecom industry, which kicks off in Brazil with an attractive offer to Vivo customers. More than 76 million users of Telefonica's Vivo subsidiary in Brazil will get a free one-year Evernote Premuim subscription worth $45.

Evernote is helpful in quick note creation and share on-the-go. Users can access data from any device with Evernote installed including smartphones, tablets, PCs, and the Web. The premium service offers customers storage of up to 1 GB each month, offline reading, enhanced security, extra sharing options and quick customer support, the company said in a press release.

"Our goal is to make people smarter by creating a product that transcends local cultures and tastes while increasing productivity," Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote, said in the release. "We are excited to launch a partnership with Telefónica, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the world, which allows us to bring our products to millions of mobile customers across the globe. By starting our partnership in Brazil, we are able to tap into Vivo's vast mobile market presence and continue Evernote's incredible growth in this important country."

The new partnership will give a boost to the popular note sharing app as Brazil is one of the largest growing markets for mobile internet. By giving the service free for one year, the Redwood City-based Evernote is likely to fetch more customers who will choose to continue the service by paying the annual fee.

The offer is available for a limited period and Vivo customers can avail the free subscription by downloading the Evernote app on iOS and Android devices or registering online by accessing the Vivo official site.
