Saint's Row IV is out and the reviews are in, and the eccentric, crazy new title will keep you entertained, according to multiple reports.
Check out what gamers have to say about the new installment.
Attack of the Fandboy weighs in on the next title:
It's an impressive open-world power trip that still doesn't take it self too seriously, offers a wide variety of gameplay activities on the main and side questlines, and provides for some pretty interesting sandbox and cooperative play modes.
What USA Today's reviewer tells readers about the game:
Just when it seems the outrageous action series Saints Row can't surprise players any longer, developers at video game studio Volition find a new trick -- or several. In the sequel Saints Row IV, the studio pulls off two impressive feats. The first is transforming the franchise from straightforward, open world action game to a superpowered spectacle. It also makes for great comedy, with hilarious quotes poking fun at entertainment and pop culture.
The Escapist's thoughts of the new Saint's Row:
Instead of a crime drama like its predecessors, Saints Row IV's story feels in many ways like a love-letter to cheesy action/sci-fi movies mixed with clever parodies of popular games like Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty. Its action-comedy narrative does an excellent job of balancing humor, over the top combat and even bits of character-focused drama very well and you'll quickly grow to love the interactions between each of the characters. From Zinyak's melodramatic speeches to Keith David's deadpan commentary, there's very few moments that won't elicit a chuckle while you play. And despite some of the ludicrous situations you may find yourself in, such as battling a gargantuan soda can monster or button mashing through a pixilated homage to Streets of Rage, the outlandish parts ofSaints Row IV doesn't ever feel like it gets in the way of The Saints' quest to save humanity.
