Heidi Fleiss Caught Growing 392 Marijuana Plants in Nevada Home With Intent to Sell

Heidi Fleiss reportedly made her first million dollars after running a prostitution ring in Hollywood for a mere four months-a criminal act that got her a seven-year sentence in prison along with the nickname "The Hollywood Madam."

But it seems that rep, jail time and hefty cash just wasn't enough for the 47-year-old Los Angeles native: Fleiss now faces drug charges after police found 392 marijuana plants growing in her Nevada home, according to Reuters.

Police officers traveled to Fleiss' house, located in western Las Vegas town Pahrump last week, searching for a different woman whose warrant was out for arrest. They then stumbled upon an extensive cache of potted plants, Tony De Meo, Sherriff of Nye County, told the press.

Fleiss told deputies that she grew the weed with intentions to sell her crops to local marijuana clubs. She did not have the proper legal admittance to do so. She fessed up to having no license, and even specified which clubs she wanted to sell to.

Medical marijuana use is legal in the state of Nevada, but can only be smoked and sold with the appropriate judicial allowance.

Police also found huge grow lights in the ex-Hollywood Madam's house, along with cultivation chemicals and other materials used for marijuana sprouting.

Fleiss was not arrested on-site, however, for police claimed they could not take care of the large amount of exotic pet birds housed in her residence. They also stated that Fleiss cooperated with authorities during the interrogation.

No case has been filed against Fleiss for the weed transgression as of yet, but her issue has been given to the local prosecutor, ABC reported.

Fleiss is best known for her smutty involvement with prostitution, but also was charged with money laundering and federal tax evasion that landed her in the slammer for two years. A documentary was made in 2008 that detailed her attempt to establish a legitimate and legal brothel in the Pahrump area.
