‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 RUMORS: New Characters Being Added?

When last we saw Rick Grimes and his zombie-killing gang, things were not going so swimmingly in Alexandria. Although season five ended with Deanna, the leader of the Alexandria community, coming around to Rick's way of thinking following her husband's death, the relationship between the two groups is far from perfect.

No one is going to forget Rick's mini-meltdown in the street and not everyone is going to be on board with the (deserved) capital punishment he doled out to Pete. But such is life in a post-apocalyptic world. According to Screen Rant, Rick and Co. have found a new home in Alexandria and the showrunners are planning to make that location vital for season six. On top of that, the show is looking for two new actors in their mid-20s to 30 to play a married couple named Kirk and Hilda.

Casting calls posted by the Spoiling Dead fans described Kirk as a "blue collar everyman from a small town, who worked a job, was married and followed a golden rule." Hilda is said to be "attractive, strong and not passive."

What that golden rule is and how these characters fit into the new season remains to be seen. But fresh meat is not only good for Walkers, but also for fans on the show. We wouldn't want any story lines to get rotten, would we? Bringing in new characters to have an impact on certain storylines can elicit interesting change.

Season six of "The Walking Dead" will debut sometime in October.
