Microsoft revealed that it will bring old Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One and showed off its new HoloLens.
"We're continuing to invest and innovate across our platform," Phil Spencer of Xbox said at the firm's E3 press conference.
Mike Ybarra of Xbox also showed off the new backwards compatibility feature, according to CNET.
"We'll have over 100 titles this holiday season, and games will just appear in your library. We won't charge you to play the games you already own," Ybarra said, according to the Daily Mail.
Xbox 360 titles that you have purchased will show up automatically, allowing you to take advantage of broadcasting, screenshots and game DVR features.
Microsoft is promising that Xbox One owners could play multiplayer Xbox 360 games, but it isn't clear what titles will be available. At first, preview members could play Xbox 360 titles like Banjo-Kazooie, Mass Effect, Perfect Dark and 15 more, The Verge reported.
Aside from old Xbox 360 games, Xbox One could use a HoloLens creating an augmented reality system. The HoloLens, a wireless headset, can project 3-D images into the wearer's field of view, making it appear like everything is just in front of you.
The company showed off a working Minecraft prototype using the HoloLens wherein the player can manipulate the environment and expose hidden elements, as well as issue overworld commands that provide almost god-like powers, TechCrunch reported.
