‘Batman V Superman’ RUMORS: Aquaman & Flash Cameos Revealed?

Warning: Possible spoilers for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice"

Next year's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" isn't only a meeting of two of the most popular super heroes of all time. It's also the foundation for which the future "Justice League" films will stand.

We know that the film will feature Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) AKA the Big Three of the Justice League. But rumors suggest additional cameos from Aquaman (Jason Mamoa) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) in order to set up their roles for future films.

But how exactly will they fit into "Dawn of Justice?"

"In the movie, there is a scene where Batman breaks deep into Lexcorp/Cadmus and manages to hack into the Lexcorp computers," Umberto Gonzalez of Heroic Hollywood wrote. "Batman brings up surveillance footage on the monitors which shows the following:

  • Ezra Miller's The Flash is a blur that stops a robbery
  • Jason momoa's Aquaman is held prisoner in a containment chamber where we see his hands slap against the glass"

These rumor lends some legitimacy to a previous report that stated that both characters would be included in Lex Luthor's report on metahumans. Of course, this is still just an unconfirmed rumor. But it does make sense as an organic way to introduce important characters without overstuffing the film somewhat like Marvel did with "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Should this rumor end up being accurate, it would bring the films "metahuman" count to six (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, Flash). That just leaves the Green Lantern. It's understandable that Green Lantern would be the last member of the Justice League introduced as Warner Bros. probably wants to distance themselves from the awful "Green Lantern" film from 2011 as much as possible.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is due out on March 25, 2016.
