KFC Denies Fried Rat Found in Customer's Order

KFC has denied a claim made by a customer that he found a fried rat in his meal recently at one of the fast food restaurant's locations.

"We currently have no evidence to support this allegation," KFC said in a statement to USA Today.

Customer Devorise Dixon claims he recently purchased a KFC meal in Compton, Calif. and received what looks like a fried rat. He posted multiple photos to his Facebook, which have now gone viral, of what looks like a fried up rat, tail included.

"Don't eat fast food!!! I went to KFC yesterday and bought a 3piece chicken tender. As I bit into it I noticed that it was very hard and rubbery which made me look at it," Dixon wrote in all caps. "As I looked down at it I noticed that it was in the shape of a rat with a tail. It sent deep chills through my whole body! I've been feeling weird every since. I bought this in Compton, CA on Wilmington and 120th. I've never seen chicken like this before it's sick!!!"

Later that day, he shared a different photo to his Instagram of the same piece of "chicken" but from a different angle. In this photo, you can see the bite he took out of it.

"It clearly shows a piece of hand-breaded white meat chicken," a KFC spokesman, Rodrigo Coronel, wrote in an email.

KFC cannot determine the real issue here unless Dixon decides to provide them with what he claims is a fried rat.

"We have extended the opportunity to have an independent lab evaluate the product at our own expense," the statement said. "But the customer refuses to provide the product in question."

Dixon refuses to speak with KFC, even through a lawyer, and he has not responded to requests for comments.
