Rachel Dolezal, the embattled former NAACP activist, revealed on Wednesday, in an interview that aired on NBC's "Today," that she's bisexual, reported the Huffington Post.
"I'm bisexual. And so, you know, I've dated men and women," she said. "And I will intentionally ask, like, 'So do you just date light-skinned women? What's your spectrum?'"
Dolezal, who openly identifies as a black woman, was outed by her parents who said that the civil rights activist has been pretending to be black for years. The 37-year-old has since resigned from her position as president of the NAACP's Spokane, Wash., chapter, according to People.
Dolezal also revealed that she broke down in tears when she read the Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair article, saying that she felt a connection to the Olympic hero's transition from man to woman. "I resonated with some of the themes of isolation, of being misunderstood—to not know if you have a conversation with somebody, will that relationship then end because they have seen you as one way," she said with tears in her eyes, according to the New York Post.
