Winning a Stanley Cup has to feel pretty freakin' good.
It takes 82 regular season games, plus about 20 playoff contests. It also takes a whole lot of talent and toughness and heart and luck and it's not a mixture easily replicated.
That's why it's so immensely impressive that the Hawks, after defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals, have now won three of the last six Cups - that's a mind-bogglingly incredible feat, especially in this salary cap age.
That's also probably why Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford has developed something of a reputation for colorful language when addressing the Blackhawks fans after each Cup victory.
After the Hawks 2013 Cup win, Crawford had some interesting things to say on live television.
He promised not to do the same this time around.
"I'm going to try to be a little more professional," Crawford said, via Chris Hine, Paul Skrbina and Rhiannon Walker of The Chicago Tribune. "I owe it to all the mothers in the crowd."
Crawford then immediately broke that promise once faced with the roaring Blackhawks crowd at Soldier Field on Thursday (h/t to Travis Hughes).
In the end, it matters little beyond a few easily offended people and if anything, probably only serves to endear Crawford to the Chicago fanbase even further.
It's also always great to see athletes let their guard down and show real emotion, especially after winning a championship that clearly means so much to them and their legacy.
