Jon Stewart may be leaving the “Daily Show” on Aug., 6 but he will be able to analyze Donald Trump’s presidential campaign until then.
"Thank you Donald, thank you Donald Trump, for making my last six weeks my best six weeks," Stewart said on Tuesday's "Daily Show." "He is putting me in some kind of comedy hospice where all I'm getting is just straight morphine."
Stewart also poked fun at Trump’s decision to make the announcement at The Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
"Taking an escalator down to the White House. I haven't seen an entrance that impressive since my friend met me at the Gap after grabbing an Orange Julias," Stewart joked.
Trump joined a wide field of presidential candidates for the 2016 election that currently includes Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Bernie Sanders, Martin O’Malley, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Lincoln Chafee, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, Lindsey Graham and Rick Perry, accorrding to The New York Times.
