Whoopi Goldberg Wants Wes Anderson To Put More ‘Folks Of Color’ In His Movies

Whoopi Goldberg thinks Wes Anderson has a diversity problem in his films and she wants to help. She'll even go so far as to give the Oscar-winning director her resume.

Goldberg printed out her actual resume and passed it to Jason Schwartzman, a frequent star of Anderson movies, while he and Adam Scott promoted their new movie "The Overnight" on "The View."

"I want to do this right, because you know I love all the Wes Anderson movies and that you starred in like, almost all of them, and you know like from 'Grand Budapest Hotel' and 'Moonrise Kingdom' and you know Rushmore and all of those okay," the EGOT-winning actress told Schwartzman in a valley-girl accent. "So, I noticed there's not a lot of folks of color and I thought I would like to give you my resume to give to Wes Anderson and just to let him know I'm available. As you see, I've interned on 'The Late Show.'"

Raven-Symoné jumped in to say Goldberg would not do full-frontal nudity, but "The View" moderator quickly corrected her. "Oh I will. Oh yeah," she said.

Schwartzman took the resume and promised to pass it along to the director later that day.

Anderson usually cast the same actors in his films including Schwartzman, Owen Wilson and Bill Murray. An exception to Goldberg's complaint would be Indian American actor Waris Ahluwalia, who has appeared in four projects by Anderson.
