A few months ago a false rumor started that was equal parts wonderful and tragic. The rumor had everyone excited about a reunion of the full cast of the popular 90s sitcom "Friends." Unfortunately it was all a hoax and there were no official plans to get the gang back together for one last coffee at Central Perk. Since that time the rumor has settled down and the cast has been able to give their opinions on the incident.
"I'm too old," said 49-year-old actress Lisa Kudrow. "I wouldn't even have an interest in seeing what those people are doing ten years later as parents that have to be responsible. It would be so different that it wouldn't be 'Friends' anymore."
Kudrow played Phoebe in the show and has taken roles in movies like "Easy A," "The Comebacks" and the Internet hit "Web Therapy."
"There was never a 'Friends' movie. Ever. So I've always known it's not happening" she said in an interview. When she heard the rumor, the actress entertained thoughts that her character had simply been left out of the reunion.
"I went, 'Wait a minute, was I not invited? Oh, my God, maybe there is one, and I wasn't asked to do it.' I even had a moment where I believed it because everything around it looked real. It was a good setup."
Kudrow's co-star, Jennifer Aniston who played Rachel on the show, had similar thoughts when she heard the new according to her confession during an interview with Conan O'Brien, posted below.
"I heard that story, and oddly enough, I had a dream last night that that actually happened to me," the 44-year-old actress says. "That I saw, I read it in the paper that the Friends reunion was happening and I just didn't get called. Isn't that weird?" the actress said. "I think it created that anxiety of like, 'What if that did happen?' and they're all cooking up a show, like a Thanksgiving episode, which I always thought were my favorites, and 'What happened to Rachel?!'"
As it stands right now, there is no reunion planned for the six "Friends" stars. Would you like to see one? Kudrow says the gang is too old but what do you think? Comment below.
