Holly Madison's tell-all book "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of A Former Playboy Bunny" is finally being released tomorrow, and it contains some pretty revealing information about her past as a Playboy bunny.
The former "Girls Next Door" star has posed nude for Playboy magazine plenty of times but doesn't think it was necessarily her best idea, according to E! News. She doesn't want to see other young girls making this mistake, either.
"Girls talk to me all the time about wanting to pose," she said while promoting the memoir from her Las Vegas home. "But these days I kind of advise against it. It might seem like something fun and glamorous or rebellious and dangerous in your 20s, but guess what? When you're 30 or 40, you're not going to want those pictures floating around. You don't have control over them - someone else does."
Posing nude for the magazine isn't the only regret she has, either. The now-married 35-year-old was previously dating the almighty Hugh Hefner and was even considering marrying him at one point in her life.
In some of the first excerpts released from her memoir earlier this month, Madison gives details of the verbal and emotional abuse she had to go through living in the Playboy Mansion. She even considered suicide at one point.
She revealed other moments where Hefner was emotionally abusing her and she "realized she wasn't treated well."
"I'm done being afraid of people," she wrote. "I don't have any loyalty to Hef. I haven't talked to him in four years, so there's no reason to reach out now. Besides, it's the truth. I have no desire. I don't even care what his reaction is to this. I'm doing this for me and I'm doing this so people can learn from my mistakes."
Hefner, on the other hand, believes she's just writing all of this for attention and to remain famous.
"Over the course of my life I've had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women," the 89-year-old explained to Us Weekly on Sunday. "Many moved on to live happy, healthy, and productive lives, and I'm pleased to say remain dear friends today. Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight. I guess, as the old saying goes: You can't win 'em all!"
