The 24 athletes that will be featured in the 2015 issue of ESPN Magazine's body issue have been announced. Bryce Harper, 22 of the Washington Nationals will headline the magazine also featuring athletes like NBA star Kevin Love of the Clevland Cavaliers and NFL offensive rookie of the year Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants.
Harper is an outfielder with a.345 batting average and has always wanted to be part of the body issue, telling ESPN, "I want to put baseball out there." The Las Vegas native is already having an impressive season and just hit his 24th home run of the year.
USA women's soccer star Ali Krieger is part of the current Women's World Cup team playing in Canada. Krieger is excited to be a part of the issue which celebrates athlete's bodies. "I'm proud of my body, I'm proud of my sport, I'm proud of being a professional athlete," said Krieger. "Being naked is just another aspect of that."
Other athletes to be featured in the Body Issue include U.S. Soccer player Jermaine Jones, NHL star Tyler Seguin, Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, and three members of the Indianapolis Colts offensive line: Anthony Castonzo, Todd Herremans and Jack Mewhort, according to ESPN.
The seventh annual edition of the Body Issue will include photos, interviews and videos of the 24 athletes selected. ESPN The Magazine's body issue will be available online July 6 and will hit newsstands July 10, according to Bleacher Report.
