Missing Nevada Children, Believed To Be In 'Danger of Harm Or Death,' Recovered In Sacramento

Two children from Nevada were recovered in Sacramento early Saturday morning after an amber alert was issued on Friday night, Fox 40 reported.

The alert was deactivated at 1:59 a.m.

Martin Angel Rosales II, 3, and Lilliana Ramirez, 9, were taken by their non-custodial parents according to the alert. The children share the some mother but have different fathers and both had been taken into protective custody after the courts claimed both were in "danger of serious physical harm or death."

The alert was sent to 39 counties in the state. Authorities feared that Amber Schenck, 30, and Martin Cisneras Rosales, 33, planned to escape with the children to Mexico.

Martin Angel Rosales has a restraining order against his father, who is only allowed to be within a certain distance of his son. Martin Cisneras Rosales has a history of violence when it comes to dealing with law enforcement.

Authorities did not disclose any physical characteristics of the children or the suspects during the search. They only provided name, age, and ethinicity. It is not yet known where the children were taken after being safely recovered.

In the neighboring state of California, an amber alert successfully brought back Hannah Anderson, 16, after she and her late brother went missing six days prior to the alert's release on Aug. 4.

Anderson was spotted in a remote Idaho area by four horseback riders, who decided that she and James DiMaggio, her kidnapper, looked out of sorts and called the police.

DiMaggio allegedly killed Anderson's brother and mother before kidnapping her, although she wasn't aware of their deaths until her return on Saturday. She was recently seen at a local fundraiser for her family last Thursday.

The amber alert system has been adopted by all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The system was introduced in 1996 in Texas, after 9-year-old Amber Hagerman was kidnapped and brutally murdered, to develop an early warning structure to find missing children faster.

The system has recovered 656 children to their families to date.
