NATS Signs 7-Year Contract Extension With Lockheed Martin

NATS signed a seven-year contract with Lockheed Martin to continue its support in building air traffic management systems, according to International Airport Review.

NATS is the UK's leading air traffic control company and the extension of the contract for the next seven years with Lockheed Martin allows highly efficient technical system services including systems architecture, development, integration and engineering, with prolonged laboratory support.

"Lockheed Martin plays an integral role at NATS," said Martin Rolfe, NATS managing director operations, in a Lockheed Martin press release. "Our controllers are looking after aircraft in some of the busiest and most complex airspace anywhere in the world, so they need systems they can rely on. Over the years, we have built a very close relationship and I am delighted to see this continue."

Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions will continue its endless efforts to provide the best field professionals in engineering and programme management, which will secure 150 jobs annually in Whiteley, Hampshire.

Lockheed Martin's systems manages more than 60 percent of the world's air traffic which proves it's efficiency and is working with over 100 business partners.
