USA Network posted a preview for the next episode of Suits, “The Other Time” (Season 3 Episode 6), and it’s pretty revealing.
The scene, which lasts about a minute and a half, appears to be a flashback to Harvey’s days at the District Attorney’s office.
He and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) are drinking and celebrating a victory, only the dynamic between the two of them is a little bit different.
Donna, who is apparently an assistant in the D.A.’s office at the time, suggests they do a ritual instead of simply drinking—this is probably where their victory rituals started.
However, instead of some weird and mysterious ritual (we still have no idea what they do after a big win), Harvey (Gabriel Macht) seems to suggest something explicit. Then the conversation moves to sex (although the actually word isn’t mentioned) and Donna turns him down saying, “I don’t get involved with men that I work with.” They are then interrupted by another person in the office.
This clip could mean that “The Other Time” will be an episode that sheds some light on the relationship between Harvey and Donna—how they met, what their relationship used to be and how they both came to the law firm.
The preview could also mean this episode will be a turning point in their current friendship. We already saw how Donna’s relationship with Stephen (Max Beesley) caused a bit of a stir. It wouldn’t be surprising if the situation escalated in the next episode.
