Josh Duggar isn't going to let the drama get in the way of the love he has for his wife Anna, especially on her birthday and their seven year anniversary.
On Tuesday, the "19 Kids and Counting" star posted a photo of himself and his wife to Instagram, showing his love and wishing her a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday to my beautiful wife @annaduggar," the 27-year-old TLC star wrote. "We're also celebrating our 7 year engagement anniversary today!"
Anna has continued to stay by Josh's side despite the molestation scandal that has recently been made public. Josh has since admitted and apologized to inappropriately touching five underage girls when he was a teenager, including some of his sisters. The scandal has been extremely hard on the family, especially since they are in the public eye, but Anna refuses to leave his side.
"I can imagine the shock many of you are going through reading this. I remember feeling the same shock," Anna wrote in a statement at the time of the confession, according to Us Weekly. She recalls feeling the same way when her and her parents first visited the Duggars and Josh told her all about his past mistakes.
"I was surprised at his openness and humility and at the same time didn't know why he was sharing it," she continued. "For Josh, he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was-even every difficult past mistake. [I know] who Josh really is-someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended. Someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right."
Four days before the scandal originally broke loose back in May, Anna posted a cryptic message to Instagram stating her forgiveness. At the time, it didn't make much sense, but just a few days later, the entire world understood.
"The three most beautiful and liberating words in the English language are these: 'I forgive you,'" the message read.
The two have three children together and Anna is currently pregnant with their fourth. The entire Duggar family has been quiet since news broke out but even Josh's parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar decided to put everything aside yesterday to share their own birthday message to their daughter-in-law.
"This is a young woman we love so dearly!" the Facebook post read, with a photo of a pregnant Anna. "Anna is not only a wonderful wife and mother but she is a dear daughter-in-law to us and a precious friend. I'm so touched by her steadfast faith in Christ and her kindness at every turn. When you pray for your children growing up you always think about who they will marry and who will end up joining your family. Wow, we are so thankful that God brought Anna into our lives."
