Ariana Grande is pretty much known for her long, luscious hair and how she styles it, even though it's typically pulled into her iconic half-up, half-down ponytail. Her most recent photos, however, show a hairstyle we've never seen her rock before, and she's almost unrecognizable!
The 21-year-old singer posted some Instagram photos Tuesday night showcasing bangs and a much shorter-than-usual hairstyle. She still looks flawless, as always, but fans couldn't deny the relief they felt when they realized it was only a wig.
The first photo shows Grande flaunting the slightly lighter, 60s-styled hair-do in a black and white sideways selfie.

The second photo, which is also black and white and sideways, is of her and celebrity beauty expert Chantel Gonsalves with the caption "the worrrrrrrst wigs ever. #welovethem."
Gonsalves posted another photo of them having fun in the wigs, except this time in color. In this photo you can see that Grande's do is actually purple, and a 100-percent wig.

This isn't the first time Grande has opened up about wearing a wig. Last year, she decided to clear up all the rumors surrounding her hair on her official Facebook page because she was sick of hearing people talk about her fake hair.
She revealed that her hair was extremely damaged and broken since she had to bleach it every other week for four years while playing Cat on "Sam & Cat."
"My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions," she wrote. "But I wear it in a ponytail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down. I tried wigs, they look RIDICULOUS. So as annoying as it is for ya'll to have to look at the same hair style all the time, it's all that works for now."
Although Grande can pretty much flaunt whatever she wants and still continue to look amazing, we're happy to hear she hasn't decided to ditch her long hair!
