MLB News: Toronto Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson Makes Diving Catch Into Stands (WATCH); Tampa Bay Rays Break Up Perfect Game in 8th Inning

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson perhaps made the catch of the year thus far to preserve Marco Estrada's perfect game in the eighth inning. However, Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Logan Forsythe had other ideas soon thereafter.

Donaldson's diving grab into the stands gave Estrada the first out of the eighth inning. Rays' outfielder David DeJesus popped up to the third base side and the ball kept tailing toward the seats. It was no issue for Donaldson, who went completely horizontal to make the catch two rows back. He landed in the stands, thankfully unhurt, as a fan broke Donaldson's fall.

It could have been much more dangerous if it weren't for the belly of a Blue Jays' fan.

Check out the grab below:

At this point in the game, Estrada retired 22 straight batters as Forsythe stepped into the box. The second baseman hit a slow chopper to Donaldson at third base, and again, the veteran made an excellent play by bare-handing the ball and rifling it to Edwin Encarnacion at first base. However, it wasn't in time.

Forsythe recorded an infield single and broke up Estrada's perfect game with just five outs to go. See for yourself:

Estrada got both Asdrubal Cabrera and Brandon Guyer to fly out to end the inning. He returned to the mound in the ninth and recorded two outs before he was relieved by Roberto Osuna after surrendering a double to outfielder Kevin Kiermaier.

The game is in extra innings right now and is still tied 0-0. Both teams have recorded a combined nine hits while there have been a total of 24 strikeouts.

Perhaps Donaldson will take matters into his own hands again to end one of the most boring games of 2015.
