This Jack Russell Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier duo are inseparable. Abandoned and found together at a sea tunnel in County Durham in northern England, the two have amazingly gotten by with each other's help.
Last month, Stray Aid shared the dogs' plight on their Facebook page and said that they are up for adoption. However, the two must remain together, should a new family take them in. This is because one of the dogs is blind, while the other is his guide.
The shelter named them Glenn, 10, and Buzz, 9.
"They instantly had a bond when they came in, so we kept them together," said Hannah Critchlow of Stray Aid via ABC News. "Whenever they're separated they start crying and barking for each other."
Inside the kennel, Glenn would always follow Buzz around so as not to bump into walls or other things. But once outside, the two would play and run in the grounds, with Glenn relying less on his friend. Buzz lets him run freely, too.
At the end of the day and when it's time to head to bed, Buzz would help Glenn into his sleeping space "by sort of pushing him towards the front of the kennel and guiding him in," according to their caretakers, via Daily Mail.
"Buzz also nudges him towards his food, they eat side by side, and he pushes him toward his bowl, or away from his [Buzz's] if Glenn is going for the wrong bowl."
The shelter workers think that these dogs were abandoned by their owners because of Glenn's condition and the fact that they're already old. Re-homing them together would be the best option so that Glenn would not have to be go through many adjustments.
Since posting the call for adoption, the shelter has already received more than 20 inquiries, according to the Telegraph.
"Some dogs are here months and months and not one person looks at them or has interest, so there's an unusual amount of interest in them," Critchlow said. "Everyone is in love with them, and they're both just so friendly, lovable and very chill."
