Courtney Love found herself in the middle of anti-Uber protests in Paris Thursday, where her car was allegedly attacked by demonstrators.
Love, the former Hole front woman and wife of the late Kurt Cobain, tweeted the whole ordeal as it was happening, The Telegraph reported.
French taxi drivers, angered by the recent launch of UberPop (the more affordable version of the ride-sharing app Uber), took to the streets in Paris to stage protests. Protesters blocked the roads that lead to the city's train stations and two major airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly, according to Business Insider. Love was en route to one of the airports when her car was ambushed by rowdy protesters.
"Dude @kanyewest we may turn back to the airport and hide out with [sic] u," Love tweeted to rapper Kanye West. "Picketers just attacked our car #ParisUberStrike."
Love, a long-time member of the Twitterati, continued to live-tweet her situation to her 1.95 million followers and even addressed French President François Hollande in one of them, urging him to get to the scene of the protests. See her account of the attack in the succession of tweets and Instagram posts, posted below.
Love recently wrapped up a U.S. tour with singer Lana Del Rey, according to British music magazine NME. Her recent single, "Miss Narcisist," is available digitally and set for a physical release this summer.
