A heartthrob doesn't just refer to handsome men because even a gorilla could leave ladies swooning over its strong appealing figure.
The gorilla named Shibani is the heartthrob of Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden in Japan, where an upshot of female visitors was noted to have come to take a glimpse of this handsome ape, Rocket News reported.
The attractive primate, who is a Western Lowland breed, has a chiseled face, smug smile and sunken eyes, making him a total crowd pleaser.
Shibani had lived in the zoo since 2007 but hasn't caught the attention of the public until now. No doubt, he had grown into a handsome and attractive primate.
Despite the extra attention he is receiving, he seems not to mind as he strike poses for the camera. Zoo visitors are posting pictures of the gorilla to social media while others are even using affectionate names for him, Today reported.
Female fans are calling him "ikemen," or an extremely good-looking guy. He has that "strong but silent" charisma, piercing gaze and stoic face that captured the hearts of many Japanese women
