Michael Jackson's image appeared in cloud-form on the sixth anniversary of the pop icon's death, and there's a photo to prove it.
In a photo captured by recreational photographer John Plashal, the King of Pop's image can be seen in a cloud formation during a lightning storm in the Goochland Country area of Virginia, the New York Daily News reported. The 45-year-old took the photo on Tuesday while he was out chasing the storm.
Plashal told USA Today that he didn't even realize the cloud looked like the singer performing his famous dance move until after submitting it to a local news site. The shot went viral on social media, and commenters started pointing out the resemblance.
"It wasn't even my favorite picture that I took," he said. "I have others that are better but don't have a celebrity in the image."
Plashal said he didn't doctor the photo in any way but did say that he sees it now, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"I see Michael Jackson moonwalking," Plashal said. "I see his foot raised and his legs bent, and his black pants and white top. It kind of looks like he's looking down."
"It's pretty wild," Plashal said, according to ET. "It's one of those things - believe what you will."
Michael Jackson was 50 years old when he passed away on June 25, 2009 from cardiac arrest. See the photo of his image in the clouds, posted below.
