Any Dave Chappelle fan knows the significance of the phrase, "game: blouses."
In one of the most famed episodes of "Chappelle's Show", Charlie Murphy tells of a wild night he spent eating pancakes, playing basketball and hobnobbing with Prince, as played by Dave Chappelle.
Now, Prince has taken this cult-classic skit and made it into the album art for his new single, "Breakfast Can Wait." The pop star tweeted a photo of Dave Chappelle in his notorious purple blouse and jheri curl, holding pancakes on a plate on Friday.
Prince recently joined Twitter under the handle @3rdeyegirl-a move that surprised most, since the singer has largely denounced having an Internet presence in the past.
Dave Chappelle is also making a move back into the public, after abruptly leaving Comedy Central during the taping of the third season of "Chappelle's Show" in 2005.
He, too, has mostly stayed out of the limelight, barely doing organized stand up shows and certainly not participating in any primetime television joke-telling.
But Dave Chappelle has now gotten back on the road, much to the surprise and elation of his fan base, touring with Funny or Die's "The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Tour beginning August 23.
The five-weekend tour will contain new material from the legendary comic. Check out the list of stand-up shows below to see if Dave will be coming to your town. Tickets are on sale here.
