A video of a meat that seems to "beat" like a heart – and has been nicknamed "Frankenstein meat," – has being making the Internet rounds and disturbing many people, the Daily Star reported.
In fact, with over 36,000 views, the video is going viral but after watching the disturbing footage, many people are saying they are going to become vegetarians.
The video was is recorded by Cheng, a local woman from Sishui County, Shandong Province in China. It was shared on Chinese news outlet CCTV's Facebook page with a description that says: "Understandably horrified at the situation, [the woman] chose to record the event, rather than eat it."
According to the video's Facebook caption, "health experts say the meat is certainly edible and the twitching was caused by nerve endings that had not yet died."
One commenter even said: "It only shows that the meat came from a newly slaughtered animal. Congrats you bought fresh meat!"
Others have suggested the steak is infested with maggots that are making it appear to pulsate.
A similar video showing a 'zombie' cuttlefish moving on a plate every time it came in contact with soy sauce emerged in March.
